Chicago Trip

I know, I know, I am way behind on the blogging. Most of you have probably been eagerly awaiting pictures from Japan, but you will have to wait, because I am going to do this in order, dammit. Internet access has been a little fuzzy anyway: we need to go down to campus to use the wireless there, which is restricted (no gaming). What they don't tell you before you go on this trip is that you cannot get a working phone or room internet access until your alien registration card is ready... so, April 15th.

I'm trying very hard not to be grumpy about this. The thing is, right now things are a little slow, and I can't play WoW until after the 15th. It's not a huge thing in the grand scheme of things, but it is annoying, especially since no one told us about this ahead of time.

Anyway, the Chicago trip. We had to go overnight the Wednesday and Thursday before we left so that we could get our student visas, so we decided to spend a little and see the Shedd Aquarium and Medieval Times. Medieval Times is a great favorite of Jason's family... they've been going pretty much since it began, and I am thrilled to help carry on the family tradition.

Anyway, here are the photos from the Aquarium.

And here are some from Medieval Times. I am sorry there are not more or better photos, but you try taking pictures past your place setting when the table comes up to your neck.

Anyway, I'll begin the pictures from the current trip in the next post. I was worried that if I didn't post these now, they would never get uploaded.

Special homesick bonus: Pictures of our kitties, who we both miss very much.
